Monday eve. yoga class returns @ 6:30 p.m.

We will resume Monday eve. class @ 6:30 beginning next week, June 29
*I'd like to plan a picnic lunch after Monday July 13 yoga class. If you are interested let me know.
Everyone can bring a dish to share and we can discuss our book while we eat or just socialize.
*If you let me know the name of the Niyama we are discussing in class, you can choose to bring a friend to class or pick a gift from our basket.

No Tuesday class

Hello!!
Summer is soon approaching and it happens to fall on Father's Day this year. All the more reason to celebrate your Father's life. Why not honor his life with a few sun salutations!
Tuesday evening yoga class is cancelled.
We will resume Monday evening in July. Watch for time in next blog!!!

Walking meditation for Monday June 15

If you'd like to join us for a walking meditation Monday june 15,
*please come 10-20 minutes prior to class (class time 10 a.m.)
Quietly enter yoga room and set your things down then walk around the yard, gardens, on the street 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes (its up to you)
*Walk with internal and external awareness, slowly and observe your thoughts, your movements, your breath, your surroundings.
No talking. Notice how you step, the temperature of your skin, the beauty or the lack of beauty in your surroundings (but do not get wrapped up in the surroundings and daydream) Stay focused on the moment and your relationship with the universe.
Notice the muscles that you use, the shift in weight as you pick up each foot and how each foot touches the earth, how your hips move as you walk and what a miracle it is!!.
Then quietly come back (by 10:05)and sit in easy sitting pose, legs on the wall or savasana. Observe the effects of your walking meditation or use this time to journal.
We are practicing SANTOSHA~Relaxing into the moment~ Being one with the universe
