The View from Silence

In Silence we can see the whole of existence
But this view of Silence cannot be recorded by a camera
It cannot be captured by the mind
or survive in memory
It cannot be pictured by sign or symbol;
that is because Silence is both Seer and Seen
both eye and object and everything in between;
In Silence there is just one thing everywhere
and that one thing has no name or form and yet it is all names and all forms;
Silence knows that manifest and unmanifest are not seperate or different
that form and formlessness are not seperate or different
that worldly life and spiritual life are not seperate or different
that small self and big self are not seperate or different;
Silence is both the creator and the creation

Arriving at Bodhicitta

The Dalai Lama says that we must know and understand suffering and the causes of suffering to become a Bodhicitta. Verse I of the 8 daily Buddha verses is: With the determination to accomplish, The highest welfare for all sentient beings, Who excel even the wish-granting gem, May I at all times hold them dear. He states that we owe everything we have and everything we have achieved to all sentient beings, our friends, family, acquaintances that have helped on this path. From conception to death we depend on others. It is important to remember this daily and hold all sentient beings as our teachers and precious.
Today, I am holding all my teachers (knowingly or unknowingly) as precious gems. Everyone I meet is part of this great journey to become the status of Bodhicitta.

Yogi Desai

Yogi Desai says in his book, "Yoga of Relationships" that All relationships are based on the relationship we have with ourself, and ultimately, the Self. (in Hinduism, capital Self is sometimes equated to God or the Divine within) He continues that we are all searching for peace, love, and harmony. But its all about remembering what we already know. If we listen to our bodies with discernment, as in the physical practice of yoga, we can learn to let go of some of the suffering which the mind creates and reconnect with the self and The Self. Namaste

AWAKENING
